Default Mustang Question

Hi everyone....This is a pretty cool board...you got here. I just got around to buying some After Market Parts for my 2006 Mustang GT 3V DOHC 4.6L Automatic( Yeah Automatic...the wife likes to drive it and couldn't figure out how to use a Stick) Anyway, I was looking for a Local Speed Shop in the Tampa area who might be able to help me adding on a Steeda Cold Air Kit, Steeda Underdrive Pulleys, BBK Short Tuned Exhaust Headers and Ford Racing 3.73 Gear Kit. And Flashing it with my New SCT X-Calibrator 2 (Which I purchased from AmericanMuscle.com). I was going to take it to Brandon Ford, but I'm thinking they'll overcharge me on it? Also, I'm fairly new to this area....is there a Local Track where I can try this new setup on the Quarter Mile? I think I remember someone saying something about Bradenton...maybe? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bradenton is the only 1/4 mile track nearby. Everybody here is going to tell you to go to Sam at Coastal. I've never been there...Rob at Ford Speed does everything for our street cars and race cars. I had a 2001 GT auto, and had Rob install a Precision Industries torque converter. It's pricey, but I recommend it. Did you already buy the gears? If not, I'd go with 4.10s. I did, and almost wished I went with 4.30s. I could still cruise the interstate at a decent RPM.

Yeah I already got the Gears...but I was afraid 4.10s would burn out everything on the Highway. I'll Check out Ford Speed thanks. Precision Industries Torque Converter...HMMM Cool Thanks

4.10s are perfect for an auto, but you'll be happy with the 3.73s as well. Better gas mileage, I'm sure.

Rob and Joe at Ford Speed can do it all..anything from the cold air kits to building stroker mod motors to rebuilding promod hemi motors. They have a chassis dyno, too.

Cool...thanks Guys. I'll shop around with the advice you gave me. This is my daily driver...but I want it to be fun with some more upgrades. I've always thought Ford should have issued the GT S197 with at least 350-400HP. You know the new Camaro is probably going to be 400HP...and even the GTO came 400HP Standard. But I guess that's where the Ford Mustang Aftermarket Parts Companies come in. Thanks Again.

Ford cares more about offering vehicles at lower prices than competitors than it does offering vehicles with more HP.

Look at the Navigator...300hp. 300! Escalade is 403 and it weighs less.

I think they should offer a diesel engine in the the F150 and Expedition and Lincoln counterparts.

.
Yea...true. Maybe that's why the Camaro never sold as well as the Stang....and then died.
