Pat, this video brings back many memories of Westhampton drag strip.I have someware a 8mm tape of Westhampton when I was 16 back in 1962 that my friends and I took. At that time we lived in Queens and would drive to the east end of Long Island on sundays, not one of us had a drivers licence and we went in my friends 1946 Ford convertable. I am going to try to find that tape and have it burned on a disc. For a little info. on the track it also has a 1/3 of a mile circle track and a go-cart track .it is owned by the Monticalvo family and friends,[ a little bit of the Long Island MAFIA]. But the town keeps building houses around the track and are always are trying to shut it down. It happend to Freeport and Islip and now Riverhead has the heat on them.We are lucky to have tracks here that will be open for long time to come,thanks for the video-
