Just bought a new truck. How many miles to break-in a new vehicle before changing to full synthetic? Thanks again

Are you asking why run full synthetic? I put a LOT of miles on a vehicle, synthetics will go longer between oil changes. I dont want to have to get oil changed every 2 weeks

they dont break down as fast, but you still get the dirty ass oil filter, and the small ass particles of metal and dirt your filter doesnt get.
I use synthetics, mobil 1 with a can of restore, with a motorcraft filter, but i STILL change it every 3000 miles...

+1. I do synthetic, and it still gets changed every 3000 miles. Occassionally (this time included) I've let it slip to 3500, but no more than that under and circumstance. Just cuz your oil is still lubricating and absorbing heat properly doesn't mean your oil filter isn't half clogged and there aren't shavings and whatnot floating around waiting to score up a cylinder wall.

I hate synthetic. Since switching to it I have oil seeping everywhere.

Thats because you don't SWITCH to full synthetic.

If you switch to synthetic from regular all those nice goopy blockages to potental oil leaks your oil has built up will be washed away and your seals will open up like Scott did at that one frat party.

I have only had one problem with reg oil. Penz sucks ass. After 11000 miles the motor had serious build up and I was changing it well before 3000 miles. I switched to a better oil and never had a problem again. I think unless the seals you use in you engine require synthetic it is a waste of money.
