Default oil filter adapter, replaceable?

i was just looking at my engine and the boss where the oil filter goes is stripped. any way to replace this or am i fucked? there is no allen head inside and no hex outside, just round.

it should screw out.did you look down in the hole with a light?last time i did one ,i found that it was down in there some and it is a pretty big allen wrench.

Should be a allen head in there as Harold said. Just don't do stripping that one out or you will be fuxored.

All the more reason to run a remote oil filter.

got it out. had to use a big pair of vice grips. there was no allen head inside. thanks guys.
