Default Need a laugh?

Being the all knowing technical genious that I am (read sarcasm), I decide to tackle some painting on the stang. I have painted the engine bay, front bumper cover (base coat/clear coat), and for my first time I dont think it turned out too bad, not perfect by any means....

I decide to now paint my hood! Not a problem for a vet like me right? Well, I get the neighbor to give me a hand, rinsing out the measuring cup and all, I grab the paint and hardener and mix it up pour it in the gun and go at it! After a few minutes..... okay after I was completely done and wondering why it just didnt seem right... I give it a few and gather up the stuff to clear it. Found the clear coat now wheres that hardener... oh there it is....wait thats reducer.....

SOB!!!!!

Back to square one...

did you spray the clear reduced 4-1 w/o hardener?

OR did you notice it before you sprayed it?

haha

Nah man, I didn't get any pics before removed the paint... errr mess that is lol.

Came home from work today expecting to sand it... well that wasnt happening either lol. The stuff was sticky as syrup still but hard enough to where I couldn't wipe or sand it off. I finally got it removed though... for the most part that is.

he wasn't going to make it easy for you.
Glad to hear you got it off the hood.
I also learned the hardway to leave my paint to my freind who has been painting since the womb. Of course I always get last priority and it never gets done.
