Stance on taxes are a very small part of what make up a good leader. Furthermore, its a very shortsided approach to think that raising or lowering taxes is a safe or effective method on its own. Remember we are running a country here, and this country does have to spend a lot of money for us, because they DO provide a lot of public goods for us.

We need fiscally responsible people in office. the days of Republicans always being fiscally responsible are long gone. We can't rely on a party letter to give us leaders that stand for something by default. First you fix government spending - stop paying 20 dollars for a fucking bolt and 200 dor a doorknob. Quit giving LaShonda and her 7 kids money to buy crack and sit in Section 8 housing with. quit helping every slant eyed bastard who gets hit by a natural disaster half a world away. (somethign the extreme left wingers won't do, which is why I don't like them very much) THEN you adjust taxes to a level they need to be at. At that point, whatever we have to pay is what we have to pay.

If you don't have to pay as many taxes but your country is operating in the red...well...lets just say your money won't be worth the paper its printed on after a while.
