87 Fox needs some help......
im buying a 87 fox coupe. has some head problems and a bad clutch. its a 2.3L is that a t-5 under there or did they make another tranny for the 4 cyc.
plans are a 408,better tranny,9in with 3.73 what do you guys think?

You don't really need to go the 9in route, a properly built 8.8 will work just fine....

theres a 7.5 under there now, 8.8 will it go right in or do you have to do some relocating

I've got an 8.8 built for 1000+ HP. The 8.8 will hold up 
.
The T5 for the 4-cyl had slightly different gearing and if I'm not mistaken, can't hold up to the same abuse as a V8...but both suck balls in general. Depending on what your plans with that 408 are, you can go with a MUCH higher gear.
