Where can i find a nice jetski???
Jap 4 strokes friggin haul. The Yamaha 150 is sooo much bang for the buck. Not that they're cheap, but the weight/power ratio makes it the best value in 4 strokes. You go bigger, you get the extra weight, too, and not much performance. I have no experience with the Honda, but I imagine they last forever!
The 4 strokes make alot of power!! and they are fucking huge compared to the 2 stroke engines. They are also so quiet. I remember when I first got mine....i was drift fishing and left the motor running...well i wanted to move and decided to strat the engine up again.............it was already running....and we all know the noise it makes. So habit is now to look back to see if the engine is pissing water
before I crank it.
We went on a test drive in a 26' walk around cabin boat with twin 150 Yamahas. ONE 150 Yamaha got that heavy boat up to high 20 something or low 30 somethign MPH...to prove that one motor could get us back to shore. I was impressed.
We ended up with a center console, and insisted on that motor.
We can run almost 60mph in our 21' Pro Line with the Yamaha. And gas..man, I think we've filled up 3 times in 2 years. Cranks up first try and nobody knows it's running.

Okay since Uncle Pat admitted it, I've done that, too..with the cranking when it's already running.
