Very sad and much too young. Donald was told that he passed pretty quickly when he was taken off the life support, and I guess that's a good thing, if there's anything good about it.

Send me PM....i know what happened....I spoke to one of the crew members for a top fuel dragster that was their Monday and seen it happen

I was watching Speed last night and watched it scroll past as breaking news, very sad. A lot of us watched him race just the day before.

fire suppression systems are very cheap insurance.. $500-$700 for a dry kit with 2 nozzles when I was checking on them...
The fire suits, etc that you need when you hit the 9 sec zone are there for a reason, yes it costs money, but how much is your saftey worth?

I'm glad that I raced a sanctioned series (FFW personally, but whichever is your preference) as they were pretty strict in the heads up classes as to what passed and what didn't (at least my personal experience). I over built my car from a saftey standpoint and glad that I did...and so are my kids...

RIP...
