2.3 turbo help.
im glad to see that someone else did the turbo ranger swap pm me with all info on how you did it!!
i really honostly wanna know i got a motor and a perfectly good turbo waiting but then i might sell em both because it just seems difficult...
heres what i was told and correct me if i am wrong at all please....
the n/a 2.3 block is the identical block and the turbo one but the turbo block has a little less compression...
its easier to just bolt the turbo on the n/a block repin the ecu and run turbo injectors
installing a t-5 transmission would make you have to eliminate the middle seat due to the shifter hitting it and its more efficent because of the coil packs and 8 spark plugs you dont have to worry about the boost cutting the spark out...
i was told and im probbly restating it all but...
if i take my turbo pistons outta my turbo block re ring them get a turbo ecu or (repin it) get the browntip injectors a good headgasket all oil lines and some piping i should be able to push under 10 psi no problems??
because if its a very complicated swap i am just gonna sell the block and turbo and just get the v-8 conversion motor mounts and buy a 5.0 ho motor and a c-4 transmission and have that to play with..
pm me though with all you know i will rep you beyond all reconigition with all info you can give me...
thanks

The blocks are essentially the same except the turbo block has a boss for the tuurbo oil return line cast in. No biggie, you can just tap the oil pan and do the return there.
The dual plug head will work but it does not flow as well as the turbo head.
You should be able to run 10 psi on any combination of those parts.

These little motors don't do anything with 10psi. I wouldn't even waste my time unless your running T pounds of boost. If you have a good untouched 2.3 Turbo block leave it alone and run it the way it is. The stock pistons and rings can take a beaten.
well im actually gonna sell the block .... and possibly the turbo...
i think for the block including the head pistons exc and the t-3 turbo no oil lines no wastegate i think 300$ flat is a good deal for the whole shabossie dontcha think anyone??

I wouldn't waste time running 10psi through NA parts, fucking booooring.
I just don't consider this a very complicated swap (I have seen waaay worse), the T5 issue you mention is probably the worst part along with the hydralic clutch and the heater box modification but you can get a bobs log header that fixes those problems.
