I did it when I swapped my tired 302 for a 393 stroker. Its not hard. I kept the EFI pump and lines and picked up an Aeromotive A1000 Efi to Carb fuel pressure regulator. It takes the High pressure of an EFI system down to 5-15 lbs of pressure. See the picture for how I plumbed it.

You can keep everything on the car the same you just need to get a MSD box and distributor because once you pull the EFI harness you will lose the TFI distributor. I wouldn't recommend using a "Points" Style distributor. They suck Llama tits. I could drive my car every day with no problems... I never recharged the AC so it got a bit hot but I retained everything that was in the car before the swap.... just ditched the EFI crap.

you could even get more basic with the ignition and run an 85 gt distributor and a duraspark box.

do you have mods that your current efi setup won't support.

i've had efi and carb perf mustangs, the only thing better for efi, imo, is the cold start up, other than that they have performed the same for me.

Carb performance is a little less costly then efi, Then there is just the tuning issues, if your good with carbs then you will love it. I loved mine...

Good luck on the build any questions post them or just ask, I have been down that road.
