Anyone go to Fun Ford Weekend?
Honestly that was the weakest turn out I have ever seen there.
BTW I have a tons of vids on the way and a few of that bad ass truck. I found out it has a GT supercar block in it !

every year it gets weaker and weaker, thats why i didnt bother going this year for the first time.
Well, lets see, FFW Wild Street class is being compiled into NMRA Wild Street class, theres a little twinkling going there. I think the future tells us that possibly the 2 organizations will maybe join together, adapt to the rules, and make revisions that gets the two organizations to play together like good little boys and girls. I see it happening, some racers see it as well, Its been that chatter going around on the boards at nmra.com for some time now. What really got everyone going is the two sharing a wild street class together.

Only 5 pro cars and a few of them entered the bracket races in the morning just to be able to make some more shake down passes. Arriving that morning and seeing the slowest pro car ran a 29.X

I made apost on the Fun Ford site last year asking why the two do not combine forces at least on a rules and schedule basis and I got lambasted by most of the FF loyals or staff but supported by a bunch of other random people. Well almost 10 pages later I got the thread deleted because it was out of hand and not what I wanted to start.
I see Fun Ford going away soon or cutting their schedule down dramatically. I wish both would NMRA and FF would thrive but I do not see that happening as long as FF is not willing to recognize there is a problem.
I agree with you Scott 110%. But with the classes joining up this year. Well, at least Wild Street, I see it opening more dorrs for the future, FFW has been in trouble for a couple of years now, the bad thing is that the serious racers dont want to see it. Those are the guys that left NMRA to go to FFW, because of there issues with James Lawrence (NMRA), hopefully the doors will be opening, I'd like to stay optimistic at best.

We all know the reasons why they wouldn't combine were purely egotistical, nothing more (no matter what people say, it was always the underlying tone), everyone else could see through the bullshit that both organizations were putting as "reasons" why they couldn't combine. They each wanted to have their own series and do it their "own" way, right, wrong or indifferent. FFW has been around a long time, had a great series to run and saw a TON of great racing, however I think it's time for them to pack it in. I think the major thing that killed them is that they changed their rules TOO much and TOO often.. (hence why you have seen Street Bandit and Street Warior type classes turn into index style racing).
For your big boys, I see more of them running outlaw series classes (ORSCA/ADRL), they're going to follow the money...
