Default weight reduction

Ok, I am looking to take out everything and anything that I DONT need in the car to reduce as much weight as possible

I will be PROB taking the whole AC unit and all its pieces out
I will take the padding and sound dampining out from underneath the carpet
I took the padding off that was under the hood.
Thinking of taking out the stereo system, I find my self never using it because the car is loud and I like to listen to the cam in her, she sounds soooo good!!!

What else is there that might be hidden that I can take out to reduce some weight, Im thinking im leaning more towards a track car, It was suppost to be a daily driver but we only use the car once a week if that. BUT I still going to need lights and all that.

I dont know if theres anything else that I can eliminate, if there is please post.
Thanks

Rear seat delete is a good idea
No spare tire already!!!
Lighter racing seats...good one there.....I have the leather seats in there now, so Im sure there heavier than the stock cloth seats. I have been actually looking around for some racing seats, so ill stick to that plan and get some

Its a GT right? trade somone or junk yard an LX body kit ... saves some weight. fog lights , AC , power steering , K member , A arms , bumper piston bracket things ... the various unused steel brackets from the smog shit. battery to the trunk. the carpet padding weights a fucking TON. light weight drag wheels , skinnys up front. aluminum heads , aluminum radiator. the stock altenator bracket and tensioner weight alot , glass hood , lexan windshield ( they are pretty cheap) rear seatbelt shit , windshield washer tank and pump in the fender , heater core
EDIT
btw the Jegs brand aluminum radiator is like 289 where ad the competitions are like 4-500

march altenator bracket weights like a pound ( need a standard direction water pump with it) end EDIT

Now thats the kinda answer Im looking for!!! LOL, alright alot of that I have already done but theres many that I havent done yet or havent heard of, thanks for all those man. rep left fo ya.....Ohh and yes its a GT, I just got the pro stars on and they weighed alot less than what came off of the car. I was also thinking of that fiberglass hatch, has anyone you know used them, how do they fit. I know that can eliminate alot of weight.

Thanks again man

The small things add up... I was amazed at how much of a difference that crap under your carpet weighed.... I had to drag the garbage can to the curb, that shit weighed a ton. The rule to lighten any car... if you don't need it... pitch it. You will drop weight taking out your heater and ac garbage. Id say get a manual rack and pinion.

Yank all the interior out and sit on a plastic bucket.... interior of a vehicle is over-rated anyways.....

Radiator JEG'S Mustang 1979-93 Aluminum Radiator - JEGS

water pump
JEG'S Super Duty Aluminum Water Pumps - JEGS

they also sell the bracket for the altenator.

I thought about a glass hatch and lexan rear window BUT I think with almost no over hand past the axle that the weight over the rear wheels is probably more useful then not. especially with the weight u cannot remove from the front end like the motor ect

I am thinking of loosing the power steering also. Id like just a motor and drive train and a seat thats all. I should just build a heafty go cart and put my motor in there!!! that bitch would flyyyyy

there is a ton of insulation under the interior panels in the rear.

light wheels if you don't have them already.
