did it for years never overheated... might actually slip at high rpm but that means free hp...

 

If you're worried about flattening the ribs on the belt or the belt slipping off of the pulley because it's not grooved then you have nothing to worry about at all. Ran my car like that for almost 2 years before I parted out the car.
