What Size Cam Should Or Could I Put In The 5.0??

Default What Size Cam Should Or Could I Put In The 5.0??

so im looking to put a bigger than stock cam in the 88 5.0, what size do most people start with on a close to stock motor but big enough so i can build the motor. or basically what size can i start with?? anybody have any suggestions??

U should convert it to mass air and list all your mods before just slapping a cam in it
If she cant breath a cam isnt going to do much

yea well idk if it makes a difference but lets say 70mm throttle body, h pipe exhaust, long tube trick flow headers, cobra intake, possibly trick flow heads....what size could i start with that?? and yea im a noob so whats mass air lol??

mass air=its the reason you cant do all that other mods. the computer has preset tuning tables that dont get radical enough for modified airflow.

Ford Racing 5.0L EFI Mustang Mass Air Conversion Kit - JEGS if its not converted already and u dont know it. most are already converted take a pic of your air inlet that shows from your filter to your intake manifold

thanx, i will have to look into that tomorrow during the day and see whats up. so the heads, cam, upper and lower intake mods wont produce that much power if i dont hav the mass air conversion or something like it??

Get an ecm harness from an 89 and an A9L if it is a stick or A9P for an AOD.
