Default 289 non-Hi Po Heads?

I found 2 sets of 68 (I think) 289 heads for $100. One set if cut for 1.94"/1.60" valves and the other set is stock. They are both bare castings, are they worth the money? How high would my compression be on a stock 89 HO shortblock?

Thanks,
Frankie

How much is a little? I had a 95 GT that had 289 Hi Po heads and I was told it should be around 10.5:1. Are the combustion chambers the same for the Hi Pos and non Hi Pos?

they are worth it . the chamber I think is the same on the hi po. should be 10 to 10-1/2 . that is worth 25 to 30 hp over stock. I had a 77 mustang and had been to the track many times it ran 14.10 I put 289 heads with the knot taken out. it ran 13.72 no other changes.

I've decided not to get them, I'm just gonna get a set of aluminum heads. The heads are at Rod's Muffler Shop on 50 by CiCi's if you know anyone that wants them.
