Default How do you remove the windshield/hatch trim

I am trying to start prepping my car for paint and need to remove the windshield/hatch trim. I bought a "t-handle" trim remover from autozone and I cannot figure out how to get it to work. It says just slide and twist but I dont feel it doing anything. Whats the correct way to do this without breaking all the clips? Thanks

gently pry without chipping paint.....pry a little at a time and spread out over a few of the trim tabs....the trim should pop off easily
