Default ONE 302 Main Bolt stud

I broke an ARP main bolt stud on my 302...I need one...only one...Yeah, don't ask. Anyone know where to get ahold of one? Or maybe 2? But not quite 10.

Well sonuvabitch. I really have a problem with overtightening things...back when it was the Firechicken's rockers...now its my mainstuds. I looked at a torque specs sheet that was obviously WRONG and torqued the studs to 105 ft/lbs. Yeah, so they're all wrecked. Now I need all 10 studs and the special stud for teh oil pump pickup. And the worst part is it never even crossed my mind to look in the Hayes repair manual I just bought for 20 bucks...

Any of the local shops keep any in stock? I can get the special stud for 8+shipping online and the stud kit (for a girdle) for about 50+shipping. If I can get that or damn close to that local I'd rather pick them up so I can get on with breaking stuff.

I think you need to check your tq wrench... those studs wont break at only 105ft lbs..... you should only be torquing them to 75ft lbs... with moly lube and a dab of lock-tite. If you over torque them, you will fuck up your line bore.. and probably end up eating bearings...

Yeah...I dunno what the hell happened...the tq wrench wasn't clicking as soon as it did on the rest and right as we thought to stop SNAP! ARP said that since we tightened so much a new set was in order...so 60 dollars later I've got a new set of main studs. I hope I didn't fuck anything else up by tightening them all down so tight...
