OK guys hopefully someone else may have had the same prob as i am having. i just got my escort back got the dam head gasket replaced woo hoo. but now my AC is not clicking over, i was listening to see if i hear it and i am getting nothing. Also my dome light and my radio is not comming on either. has anyone one else had this prob with their escorts. and could i get some advice as to were to look. i checked to see if the compressor was pluged in and it is. i was looking for a relay and a fuse and i am seeing nothing for the AC system . i was also looking for the a fuse for the radio found it under the dash but the hole that is for the radio fuse is blank no metal clips just a empty hole like you can add it there so i am now lost.

can anyone give me some advice aspically anyone who has worked on escorts.
BTW this is a 97 Sedan base model automatic.

 

dude check you main fuse box in the car sounds like somthing got grounded out and blew a fuse.

 

my daughters 97 escort did that and it was a small plug at the passenger side kick panel, you could "move it around" a little and then the a/c would click on, hit a bump and it quit working, I had to find a plug in the junkyard.

 

humm thats intresting cause that kick panel was off too from my moms dumb ass Mechanic i will check that in the morning thanks.

BTW i did check all the fuses and they were all good non blowen

 

woo hooo i got the AC to come on basically what had happen was the system was complently empty and my mechanic said that i will have to keep filliing till it cuts on. I did not realize that AC system need a static charge in order to come on sooo. one thing down now if i can only get the radio and the dome light to come on i will be good to go. nice comfy daily hehe. thanks guys for the sugestions and help.
