Default C4/c6

So, how different are they? Someone is selling a C6 I'd love to snatch up for a GREAT deal - trade for the T5 shit I don't want!...How much is it gonna slow my lil ol' boosted 302 down? Come to think of it, can I Even bolt it up to my 302? Pros/cons of the C6 vs the C4? I mean the extra gear is superb..but what kinda reliability/drag/etc?

they are both 3-speeds. teh c6 is more for a big block car in my thoughts...

Small block C-6's are out there. It will fit in a fox may have to beat up the floor a little. Way back when it was the only trans we used behind potent small blocks. Now days the C-4 can handle some big numbers and is much lighter and sucks up less power. The last small block C-6 I had sold for 75.00

you will have to use a BFH to get it in. It also has no removable bellhousing. And yes the bitch is very very heavy

I have a "working when pulled out" c6 you can have..... just come get it out of my garage.

So, I take it by your guys reactions that the c6 = teh suck compared to the c4?

Well, my goal is 9s goddammit, and I can't do it with a heavy transmission thats sucking up all my power.

The C6 does not suck. it is just bigger, heavier, and takes more power to turn than a C4.

Well, for my application it sucks. I always thought it had an extra gear. Without that extra gear...well...I mean...its just more dead weight and rotating mass without any benefits.

Stick with the C4. You don't see very many C6's in race cars! Must be a reason for it!

the c6 is a very strong trans stock for stock vs a c4. it is very heavy and eats power, but last forever.
