Just recirculate it like most supercharger kits. You don't have to vent it into atmosphere.

So they are the same thing with a different name or is the difference the BPV is designed to recirculate and the bov to vent to atmosphere and make your car sound like it has the flu?

Honestly I'm not sure. I want to say some don't have areas to connect hoses to and some do, maybe that's the only difference. I've had 3 supercharged and 1 turbo car and I can't tell you if there is a difference lol. I will say I've always just recirculated.

My only forced induction car was my GN and it had an open atmosphere bov on it. I was just readind up on blowers and saw By-pass valve mentioned and didnt know if there was a physical difference ect.

T-minus 20 hrs untill I get the health from the mechanic and find out if my cousin cut a check for it and took it home for me =)

a by-pass will recirculate the air after it is read by the MAF, not just dump it after the computer thinks it has gone in to the engine as a BOV would.

Exactly. Then there are wastegates - which vent unmetered (not measured by a mass air meter) exhaust gas to regulate boost in turbo apps.

The most important thing to know is probably the metered/unmetered deal. You dont ever want to vent air that has already been measured by a mass air meter.

If you have the BOV before the MAF it is still only dumping unmetered air.

Oh, and that is not a sneeze...it's a queef.
