Default Bowtie guy comming over to the dark side

:hides in the corner as to not get hit with rocks:

Hi guys. My name is John , JT , Asshole , or Looney depending on who ya talk to. Anyway Ive always been a chevy guy :hides from more rock throwing: I even have a bow tie tat!

But I've decided after Trying everyting in the book to fight the war against mustangs , Its time I get behind the wheel of one of thoose fine warriors and under the hood.

My previous ride list is pretty much the whos who of Gm cars built to go after fords
85 GN only in body. whole drive train was ripped out and upgraded. she got er done
1968 RS camaro S/ST car
1974 "street car" sprayed SBC brown paint =)
1969SS camaro bbc 4 speed car
1972 SS clone , 427 backhalfed blah blah blah

Anyway It looks like my next ride is going to be a Blown 95 stang. If ya'll dont lych me I could probly use some help getting er tuned up and ready to rock round about January. BTW I always have a fridge full of beer and a few boats for anyone who spearfishes or fishes hook and line to lay on the table as thanks for help with the new ride. Ive lived in FL about 2 years and live up in hernando county.

JT

btw my guy is going to look at it , do a compression test and all that good sht wed or thursday and will be cutting a check for me if it measures up. If it doesnt ill be on the hunt for another suitable stang. I just feel the need. I just wated to say whats up and I dont know S about fords. For example. its got some big 18 inch wheels ect on it with rubber bands. Anyone know how much wheel and tier and what back space i can fit under her. Also Ive never run drag radials. Can anyone reccoment a wheel and tire size for a drag radial and also a prostreet or slick for a 95 stang? probly go with 15 in drag lites and somthing like a micky ET on the back Also anyone know a reliable side job welder who wants to make some coin doing subframe connectors , cage and a few other things?

Do 95s need the mounts on the rear end boxed like the 89-93s did?

Will I need to roll the inner fender lips? wheel wells anything like that to fit a 10 or 10.5 tire under em. And any other tips tricks or must do's for getting er to hook and not find the weakest links by trial , error and over heated check book? I was sick of that sht from my camaros. I want this car to be a rock solid fun "street car" Im not going to go insaine I will be happy with a bullet proof low 12 sec street car that leaves like a shark ect

You would be better off getting a Fox ie 87-93. Ideally an 89-92 as they are mass air cars. The 93's have weaker pistons. The pre 94 cars are much more user friendly and will not require a chip to be reburned every time you change things like on the 94 ups.The only down side to the Fox is the brakes and they are easliy updated. Hi perfomance parts are readliy available and you will find the Mustangs are much more user friendly than then Chevrolets. I still have a lot of F body parts from dealing in them for many years but the Mustangs have made me more money and caused me alot less headaches.

Well he could convert the SN95 to an A9L computer and never worry again, or a Tweecer etc.

With the SN95 he gains a sturdier body, better brakes(much) and much more room for tires/wheels

Of course you can convert about anything you want but why mess with what Ford gives you up front. Up grade the brakes as I said. Sturdier? matter of opinion. Heavier yep. And we have all seen Foxes running 7's so how much more tire will he need? Plus the pistons in the sn 95 cars suck. Restrictive intake as well. And the preformance parts are harder to come by then the Fox ones.
Not trying to start a pissing contest but I buy alot of cars every year and to me for the buck and performance a Fox is all that and a bag if chips.
And don't feel bad being a former Chevy guy. If you look way back in the corner of my shop you will see a 67 Camaro with a 540 and a few Irocs out back. But like I said these Mustangs are very forgiving, simple to work on and a blast to drive.
