Default Reclocking Holset center section ..pics.

I bought a cheap pair of big needle nose pliers and heated them up with a torch to bend them almost 90* and a little out from the center. I used those to remove the big snap ring on the cold side.

I removed the Jesus clip on the waste gate rod and moved the rod off the arm. I then removed the housing.

This lock pin needs to be removed so the housing can be moved.

I then bolted the turbo to the header and removed the clamp on the hot side and took the center section to the bench. Theres another pin on the hot side that gets removed also. I used a pair of pliers to remove the pins.

Heres the housing on the header.

I then put the center secton on and put the clamp on loosely. I put the compressor back on.I hooked the rod back onto the WG arm and put the clip back on. Then I rotated the center section so the drain is pointing towards the floor. I tightened the clamp. I reinstalled the snap ring.

These actually worked pretty good. The snap ring came out on the first try and it took only 2 tries to get it back in.

Hmm, funny mine is missing the lock pin.

The first time it took my snap ring off I got it back on with just Kmart pliers and it didnt' take more than a minute.

Now mine is sitting at my shop after I deburred the outlet and it still isn't back on even though I've got all my tools.

I got it from 40Bob.com - 2.3T headers, ported and gutted intakes, and accessories. . Its the centermount with no EGR and with high temp coating. He doesnt list them, you have to ask him to build you one.
