Anyone ever done this? I've got a project (not the Mustang) that I bought w/no keys...... I was gonna try and put a new ignition and door locks in it this weekend. Just never done it...

Any advice?! Vehicle is an '84 GMC 2 Ton Truck on 44" Boggers with a 454bb in it. Gonna try and get it put together a little bit, and sell that bastard to some good ole country boy!!

 

dont go cheap on this the barrels lock up inside the ignition and you have to replace them again. My buddy went el cheapo on his 95 gt and went through three of those before forking over the dough for a quality part

They are easy. I have never had a problem with "el cheapo's". The hardest part is getting the old one out with out the key. Doors are very easy. You got this mang.

 

Are these parts available locally prolly at like Advance Auto, or do I need to surf good ole eBay? I'd say the "el cheapos" will do - seeing as how I'm not gonna keep the truck too long Maybe a few more months, and sell that bitch to help fund Project $hit$tang
