Hey, the weekend was rad to say the least. A friend of mine was bringing a few parts to me, and his ole lady wound up swinging his son over to him, and so he had to back out on me... So I knew the other peeps wouldn't be over for a while (I was up at 7:30 to work on the ole gal
)... So I started in on my '84 GMC Pickup (44" Boggers, 454cid, 18" of lift, Etc)!! It was a project truck, no keys, no title, etc. I got a title for it finally on Friday, so the timing was perfect!! I put a new set of door locks in it, and a new ignition in it - all with oem style keys. I wired the motor up. Dropped in a few new batteries (takes two to run the bitch). Wired up the elec. fuel pump to the carb, hooked up a few misc. vacuum lines, tidy'ed up the springs on the carb, etc.... Dropped some gas in the throat of the carb - and wouldn't you know that after almost TWO YEARS of sitting, it fired RIGHT UP on the FIRST crank!! Shit knee grow!! What chu know about that!?!?!
So we loaded that fucker on the trailer, and towed it out to Lakeland Mud Bogs with a For Sale Sign (went to "Muddy Muddy XMas Event there on Sunday)...
So after that, I started in on the $hit$tang. Had a boy come pickup the B303 Cam, and a guy came and got the Holley Carb. I sanded, primed, and undercoated the Trunk. We got the front bumper and lights completely removed. I cleaned up the 86 GT front end, and stuck it on (not installed, literally just stuck it on). Hung out with Jabtay, Uncle Pat, and a few guys from my old Car Club back in the day. My lady brought us some chips and drinks, good woman there man!
So hopefully this weekend I'll actually get some real work done on the Car, now that the Truck is running and gone!!
You gonna come up and check out the heap?!
