Default Drag Radials

Anybody running a 275/40/17 M/T Street drag radials on their foxbody, if so do you have any rubbing issues? Looking at getting a set of those or the Nitto's. I've had both but they were on 15's and I had to beat the inner fenderwells in with those on my last car, not sure about the 17".

Well I only had to roll the lip because of the lowering when we went to coilovers. before that they didn't rub or hit unless we hit big hole! Just driving or at the track never hit. (1989 vert)

With the m/t's you will not be able to run your quad shocks and you will have to beat the living shit out of your inner fender wells. If you have any type of drag suspentionin the rear,or the car is lowered, you will have to roll the fenders.Hope this helps.

I have the 275/40/17 Nitto DR on my car now with a 9" wheel. They fit great with the quads still intact. I have no rubbing issues at all. The Mickey's are a wider tire. I know that on my old car I had the 275/50/15 Nitto's on my 92 and they fit good with the quads but I switched to the same size Mickey and I had to ditch the quads.

Did the Mickeys rub the inner fenderwell or outer?

The 275/50/15 Mickey's only rubbed on the outer fenderwell when the car squated enough it would dig into the tire...or if you were over a serious angle on a bump it would rub the outer but I had to take the quads off or it would have rubbed the quad.

I wasn't impressed with the 275/40 Nittos as far as traction, but that was with stock suspension.
