Still get "hissing" sound when pressing down on brake pedal. Booster holds pressure and appears to be air-tight from the self tests I've done with starting car and holding brake pedal, shutting off car while holding and confirming pressure stays, pumping brakes to verify that pressure builds up and when starting car again the pedal drops slightly and stays solid and firm.
Is vacuum my problem?
I have no way to test the vacuum to see if I'm pulling the right amount with the booster, 18" of vaccum is what I've read.
How about the pushrod that actuates the master cylinder being too short or too long ?
No where I have found that says I need to change brake boosters when using a '93 cobra MC.
My emergency brake has not worked during this entire process, the cables are attached to the spring hooks on the calipers but there's too much slack so I may have to purchase different cables. This however should not hinder the operation of the rear brakes when pressing the pedal but I am wondering if they need to be working for any kind of "auto adjusting" ?

It is NOT kinked, just a bad angle for the pic.

does your m/c move the necessary volume of fluid to support 4 wheel disc's?
for example... my civic came with a 13/16" m/c and rear drum brakes. when i changed over to rear disc's my m/c was pretty much maxed out. the rears would clamp and help slow the car, but i havent been able to lock the brakes since the swap. when i stomp the pedal, even in the rain, the car will slow quickly, but never lock up(and no i dont have abs). i have to move up to a 15/16" m/c now that i have upgraded the front brakes as well.
not sure if this helps or not, but it was just a suggestion.
