I remember those came out before I left Germany. Never got to run with one. BTW those are license plates from Kaiserslautern (Germany).

Ford could have bailed themselves out 30 years ago had they brought the original Escorts over here

Negative. Since 2005 the only thing the US Focus shares with the European equivalent is a Ford emblem and brake calipers. Everything else is completely different.
