So the $hit hit the fan on my new car when it came in yesterday !
So I get a call yesterday from the nice inventory manager at the Toyota dealership saying my custom ordered car is in finally ! After almost three months mind you and a bazillion calls to get it ordered like I wanted it. I even had to get the Toyota corporate office in Kentucky involved at one point to get the exact car I wanted on order.
The two ladies I have dealt with at the dealership and corporate office have been nice and very prompt, way more than I expected. I even sent a letter to both their managers to tell them this.
Anyhow, very long story short from my 29 minute conversation they are telling me the car is going to be $2,600 more than we agreed upon ! And the pussy's had the nice inventory manager call me because she has dealt with me a lot already. I was polite with her but to the point that the shit was going to hit the fan with the others when I got there and it did.
I knew I was getting a hell of a deal on the car and I also expected to maybe pay a few hundred more than they said just because I know how a lot of the dealers roll.
They said at the price they gave me the first time they would literally loose $2,200 on the car. I left the dealership late last night with them down to $1,600 more vs. $2,600 and I said I would call back Monday.
And to cap it all off the car came in with the wrong color interior ! So much for getting the "special order" right !

i understand toyota's are assembled in the US, (different from manufactured) with %73 of overseas parts.
