Default crown vic side molding removal

I have the same black moldings on my car and they don't match anything else. Does anyone know how to remove them for paint? as well as the rear view mirrors and door handles.

The moldings have to be taken off with a wire to cut the adhesive behind them. You will have to replace them. the molding for my right rear door was $75.

The mirrors have 2 or 3 bolts behind the door panel. DO NOT PULL THE DOOR PANEL to remove, you will break it. There are three or four screws to remove. one on the bottom edge, one inside either the handle cup or under the switch panel. then lift the door panel straight up. BTW the door panels are $700 if you break it.

The door handles should have rivets under the handle.

When I take the mouldings off will it have holes or anything because I like the no mouldings look and would rather have them off, and is that the same with the front bumper ones too because there in a groove and I don't know how to slip a wire behind that. thanks for the help and the price thing, i'll make sure i dont fuck up now

The molding on the front and rear bumper are part of teh bumper, so you cannot remove them. On mine there was a hole a little bigger than a quarter under the molding on the rear doors. Front should be smooth since they are available without front moldings for graphics.

i took off the side mouldings using some dental floss my car looks 10x better and i found the faded star decal from when it was a cop car. Are you sure about the bumper black strips? I used a knife to pull one up and it seemed like there was a gap between it and the bumper but i can't find anything to pull it far out enough for me to remove it. If your sure I'll just paint over it because I really don't want to mess up my bumper. The only reason why I ask is because I've seen cop cars riding around tampa and they have two grooves whereas I have one groove up top and then the black strip which looks like its filling in the bottom groove.

I was not too sure on the 98+ bumpers they are slightly different from my 97.
