Default Be cool radiator?

I bought a be cool aluminum radiator from summit, 1979-93 model years and it does not look like the factory fan shroud will mount to it...And Im not even sure if the radiator retaining brackets will hold this thing in place either.

Ill get some pics of what Im dealing with here...ill get some posted up but if anyone else has had this issue before let me know...
It seems as if ill have to weld on some tabs so i can mount the damn fan shroud

I might just chop the tabs off the old radiator because I dont want to go junk yard diving especially for a car like that when I could have bought the damn granatelli one with mounting tabs on it already......

Unless the radiator wont fit at all if the stock fan stays in there....in which case this thing will be heading back to Summit

Justin send it back. My customer with the 89 Saleen got one from Jegs that is a direct bolt it. Call them first to make sure they still have them. There is no point in having to adapt a new part

I bought a Fluidyne, no problems. Check out Summit's aluminum radiator.

I have the Summit one. The lower rad hose was not in the same location. I had to use a flex hose, but has been good other than that.

The one from jegs is the one that was in my 86...it has mounting tabs on it already...Im just returning the be-cool radiator and grabbing the other one...its 50 dollars cheaper anyway.

I didn't make out empty handed because I did get a Be-Cool sticker, a free summit racing hat, and 50 summit bucks.

had to drill a couple of holes and the factory shroud bolted on. also had to use an aftermarket overflow bottle and top radiator hold down.

Like GB said the Fluidyne always fits great.

Same with my griffin. the lower hose is bigger and at an angle. I had to go behind the counter at quto zone and find a hose that looked close and then i had to cut 2 inches off each end.
