im not sure, i dont know what the little silver bar is for sure, but the ball joints need to be replaced as well, thats what i heard... can anyone else tell whats wrong from these pics... the front end busted while the car was going down the road...

tbirds and cougars are notorious for bad ball joints and sway bar bushings all around Upper ball joints arent that bad acutally, they are like $40 a side, but you get the whole control arm and it just unbolts in like an hour a side

Ya that broke peice looks like a sway bar end link. And that ball joint is trash.

The ball joint is the most important part...the car will actually drive without the end link, but yeah, looks like you need some front end work.
I'd just buy new upper and lower control arms and the end links and call it a day. Easier to put on, and chances are you will need bushings soon anyhow.

ok, does anyone think they can do it, or know someone who can do it?... will have the money in about 4 months, just tryin to get some estimates

I could do it but Im kinda far. My buddy in carrolwood can do it, as he has a 93 and just did the job 2 weeks ago.
You arent going to drive it like that are you??? That ball joint is downright deadly.

After you get it fixed buy yourself a grease gun. The front end must have been making noise for a long time. Ball joint is seperated and that more that likely broke the sway bar when it did it.
