So you have to swap the motor and add a turbo to get 12's ? This sounds like a good idea? I must be missing something.

A Single cam with a shot , and or cheap turbo kit will see 12's with traction in a Hatch or CRX ..

It's just much easier to achieve more loftier goals if you swap to a Dual cam VTEC motor ..

i go both ways with imports and domestics. but they did pic one of the stupidest things to add to the car, and on one of the crappiest motors.

For a single cam, you may have to add a block guard or posts or something if you want it to last, or be a DD. After that, you're still probably going to need an LSD and tires because you're probably not going to hook up with stock stuff or just bigger sport/street tires. Then you'll need to get your turbo/shot tuned to make the power, because you're not just going to shove that stuff into it and have it magically 'work'. All that stuff costs money.

That's just extra stuff that goes along with the turbo kit or shot, which is more money, too. Don't get me wrong, I know it can be done. I have a lot of friends who have done it, but man those guys go through a lot of parts to get there. And the other thing is you have to be pretty bright to get there, because the parts alone won't do it. Not everyone is able to build such a combo, so no, it is definately NOT as easy as some people make it sound. I just don't 'get' the whole Honda thing because there are many better ways to achieve the same end. I like the DSMs (iron block, closed deck, boosted from the factory), but they seem to break a lot of stuff too.
