FWIW Levi, an ex cop at work says Florida isn't one of those states that makes LEO's fill out the ticket completely to the letter, ie one little check mark in the wrong column and the ticket is void.
I had about the same thing happen to me last year with a ticket that was full of little errors. Didn't matter, still had to pay

I think you could plea that he pulled over the wrong car. It sounds like he did anyways. Even the wrong plates? With any luck you will get a judge who is a stickler for accuracy.

Secondly, even if it was a slight error on the speed or ticket it's not the officers fault. If you had to deal with criminals all day you would be uptight and make a few mistakes too. Just because the officer made a misate DOES NOT MAKE HIM WRONG. he is simply looking out for the united states and its citizens. you need to write this officer a letter and thank him that you made it home in one peice that night.
dont take this to court and slow down and ruin our court systems because you feel you were right and he was wrong. Police officers are trained to properly handle these situations, YOU ARE NOT TRAINED.
so, leave it to the pros, be glad your alive, and breathe the american air!

what you should have done first was thank the officer for saving your life, and the lives of others. you were obviously speeding and endagering everyone. all LEO's want to do is help people, they would never make an error like you claim.
Secondly, even if it was a slight error on the speed or ticket it's not the officers fault. If you had to deal with criminals all day you would be uptight and make a few mistakes too.
