What do you think
I've got a 347 with 3 broken pistons and have not had the money to fix it I got an offer today for 800 bucks sounds about right but its got a 700 crank 300 rods J/E trash pistons and a DSS girdle in a stock block. 800 worth it or should i just hold on to it and fix it?

1. Bought the motor off the corral he told me it had AFR 185's with an x-cam and 1.7 rockers in a 95 mustang. I got the short block off him and it was what he said put my 544-560 lunati cam in it and put my 185 AFR's on it. Never checked piston to valve my fault didn't see a reason to. soo yea pistons bent all the valves not bad but just enough.
2. Sent the heads to joe at Ford speed and pulled the motor apart and he notched the pistons for me. The day I get the short block back first round of head torque the block cracks. First block
3. Put the motor back together and drove it 3 blocks when the block the machine shop picked up was cracked and ate all the bearings. Block 2
4. Got the motor back again "current block" and the timing cam block plate broke and the motor lost oil pressure and ate a couple bearings.
5. motor back again went lean some how on an N/A pass and broke 3 pistons. J/E is not to blame.
6th time the charm

Karma I guess.... But the short block thats in my car now is a USED 130,000 mile HO motor that I took a Whiz wheel to so I could fly cut the pistons. Motor has never been apart and car runs 7.9's all night but with a 1.90 60foot. but I'm happy with it so far. almost don't want to take it apart.
