Anyone know where to find the Spring steel lingage retainer clip on the shifter cable end for an aod mustang? The local ford dealer had no idea and suggested it is sold with the cable assembly.

morons! Call Autoway Ford in St Pete and ask for Andy Cohut in parts. They sell the brass bushing and the clip replacement. This was the upgrade from Ford instead of that plastic bushing. He might be able to at least give you the part number so you can order it in your neck of the woods.

Cable goes from underneath the shifter to the transmission to shift gears,Crawled underneath the car and it does look like the clip is part of the cable.Wonder who sells them aside from Ford as the replacement will be big dollars no doubt.
