A friend of my sister rented one about 2 weeks ago, and he let me beat the crap out of it. I was plesantly surprised in how quick it was, since I drove an auto 05 GT and I could hardly get it to spin the tires. 5x? Do you mean a 5 second 1/8? They must have sprayed the crap out of it, because the one I drove was about as quick as my car, and I run 8.4's. Also, according to MMFF, the Hertz Shelby make 325hp, with a FRPP cold air kit, reflash, axle-back, and some Shelby suspension pieces.
