I would post pics but it is pretty nasty.

Took a fast faul ball at a D-Rays game on Sunday straight on the end of one of my fingers while trying to keep it from hitting my son in the face. I actually would have had it if it was not for some jackass coming into my space from the side at the last split-second.

At first it stung like hell and I did not even look at it. Then a minute or two later my son goes, "uh dad what is on the ground ? " . I look down to see a huge pool of blood that has been running from my finger ! So I go clean it up and stay for the remaining eight innings. Needless to say half of my finger is black, swollen, the nail is pushed back a little into my finger, and the nail is black too.

Long story short after getting bitched at by my mother and wife I finally went to the Dr. today and got it x-rayed since I had no time to do it Mon-Wed. Turns out all of the blood did not come from jamming my nail into my finger but instead from the front bone snapping and coming through the skin under the nail ! I guess that is why it bled for so long.

Anyhow looks like I might have to get it pinned.

Just felt the need to rant a little, time for a beer or two to help the pain since I do not do pain killers.
