I'm pretty sure they do have a modular kit now for the A/C cobras. This guy has one.

Yes, Factory Five's latest revision chassis (MKIII) allows modular motors to fit without any frame or footbox changes. The car posted above was a MKII chassis that was modified to allow the mod motor running gear. He kept close notes of everything he did and factory five actually integrated his changes into the frame.
