Yeah, and now it looks like the SVO mafia will be after me.

Hey now...

I like SVOs a lot (have had 3!), but when something shows up in Cophers, the time to save it has passed. At that point, you can either get in on getting something that you or someone else needs, or let a vultures get it and have the parts disappear, never to be seen again because they want way too much for them.

I've spent the last few weeks trying to sell an 86 SVO that I bought a long time ago. I have it advertised on 4 sites as well as in a very visible local publication (it's up in NH). It's NOT easy to move one that's not in excellent shape, even if it has all of the special SVO bits and pieces. I'm looking into shipping it, because I'd rather see it cleaned up than chopped up.

SVO: Seldom Valued by Others...

Just say you are goiing to throw in a SR20 Red Top.

Haha...well I'm not one to rock the boat like that, especially since I'm usually one of the first to give people crap for doing stupid stuff to SVOs. But sometimes you do have to say, "It's just a car". My situation is the kind that puts it into perspective...we had a death in the family, and the place where the car is stored is being sold. It's in NH, and I'm in FL. I'm getting Z-E-R-O help from my Dad (who is up there) in not losing my ass on selling it. He doesn't want to take calls, have people knocking on the door to check it out, haggle over the price, etc...he just wants it gone. It could be a Ferrari and he wouldn't care any more. All he knows is that he can't sell the house with it around, and he'd be more than happy to have it hauled away for scrap, as in NO sale. JUNKED. I lose out. F me - it's a 'life lesson'. I tried to hang on 'for the sake of SVOs!!', ...and got screwed.

See, you get fucked like that only once, then you tell purists to shove it.
