4 cyl vs GT dash harness in 89

Are they the same?
If the V8 and 4 cyl dash harness is the same will the 4 cyl harness have the extras for a GT already wired in(for foglihts for instance?)
Getting close to firing the car up and had to pull the dash to change the evaporator. While there I find that the previous owner was trying to make the car into Knight Rider with his alarm install. The car was set up to do all sorts of shit. Lock/unlock, pop the doors open, trunk release, window roll up, STEREO ON AND OFF, starter kill, etc. Tons of stupid shit I dont want in an alarm, but shit that hacked the piss out of the dash harness.
I basically want to put in a nice clean harness and install my own alarm RIGHT while the dash is out. But, all the junkyards have is 4 cylinder cars.

yes there the same but it has to be from an 89 if the car is 87-89 there the same ten 90 is one year only the 91-92.5 same the 92.5-93 the same

the computer and injector harness will be V8 specific........obviously!!
If you use the 4 banger harness.........you will also need to extend your alternator connection.
and a non GT harness will not have the foglight connections.

why not just use a v8 headlight harness instead of extending the 4 banger one?

The car is an 89, and Im basically talking about the dash harness. One the 89 the dash harness does not extend all the way to the headlights. Basically its got a bunch of plugs at the A-Pillar in the kick panel, goes over to the A/C box and amplifier,
a few other various boxes under the dash, etc. But when it goes through the firewall, I cant think of too many things the harness actually attaches to. All I can think of off the top of my head is the wiper motor and the brake level switch. Other than that, it has 2 plugs by the booster that interface with the engine harness, and below the ignition coil there are some plugs that connect to other harnesses that go up to the headlights, horn, etc. but the dash harness in the 89 doesnt actually connect to the headlights or fogs, it connects to other harnesses which do that.
Thats why I was hoping that the 4 cyl and GT dash harness would be the same, hoping that for a mid harness that Ford would be able to justify adding the wires to all the harnesses as opposed to having 2 or 3 different part numbers that varied in cost insignificantly.

the 87 88 89 dash harness from 4 clys and v8s are the same the the engine and headlight are diff i just did my 4 cly swap to my v8 and my 89 dash harness was the same it pluged right into my 89 v8 engine harness and v8 headlight harness the 4 cly on will work.
