rant
Well to keep it short..Me and the wife went into Ferman to look at an 06 Pathfinder. After finding the one she wants , we sit down with the sales guy to run the numbers. We fianally agree to a price, down payment and trade in value, so I tell the salesman we have a deal. So we move to the finance managers office , in the meantime thre salesman is filling the Pathfinder with gas, getting it detailed, ect. The finance manager prints out the contract and looks at us and says he will be right back, seems the sales manager made a mistake on the deal but it "WON"T EFFECT US". About 3 min later the sales manager walks in and says that in order to put this deal through we wiil have to put an additional $2000.00 down. So I blow a gasket and tell him were he can stuff his 2 grand and that they need to honor the original deal. They had already run our credit and such, it was a number mistake on his part so he should eat the diff. Then this fucker asks us if we have the keys to our trade in so we can leave. Wait till I get on the phone tomorrow with the general manager he dun fucked with the wrong guy!!!!
Please post up your results.... I have never known a dealership to care about the customer over the profit. If they don't make the profit they want on this deal, they will make it on the next person that walks in. There is such a large market to screw, they really don't care. So if something positive happens with your call, I really would like to read it.

Sounds like they were planning on you caving in because you already were excited about getting the car. I bet after a couple of days they'll come around.
My experience was not quite so pleasant. After working on preliminary numbers, my friend wanted to get a quote from his insurance and run the numbers while sleeping on it. We go to leave when my friend realizes he didn't have the keys to his car. The dealership played the whole "I thought you had the keys" for over an hour while trying to get us to take the new car home. He refused. They finally "found" his keys (supposedly sitting in the middle of the drivers seat of the car he test drove, even though everyone had checked there) when they realized we weren't fucking around. We both told off the managers to the point they went into an office and threatened to call the cops.
