Question about Cervinis hoods?
How is the fit and quality of their hoods. Are they finished ready to be installed as soon as you get them?

I never had a aftermarket hood fit perfect,it might be as little as something you will only notice though.

I have bought two of them in the past. The first one was great and the fit was perfect! I was impressed with the underside of the hood, it was finished nicely. Then the hood latch didn't hold correctly
and I ordered my second one. The second one was not the high quality of the first one. I had to pull the hood forward to get it to latch correctly. I leaves a bigger gap in the rear, next to the cowl. I could live with that, but not with the fact it delaminated about a year later. When you look at the hood, you can see lines under the paint. I am still not sure if I am going to replace it or just try to cover it up with 'slick sand'.
The last hood I bought was a Keanan(sp?). They are a local vendor and I was impressed with that hood. The quality and fit were better than my last Cervini and it was cheaper without the additional $80 for shipping.

Hey Brett, how long ago did you get your 2nd Cervini? I had a couple, but the "newest" one was still over 6 years ago. Mine have fit perfect, but is it possible Cervinis is just another company thats cutting corners here and there lately?

The last hood I bought was about 3 years ago. I am not sure how their stuff is today. I know that the second hood even fit pretty good, but it just didn't hold up as well as my first hood. I believe that would have been about 6 years ago too. That one was perfect and I loved it. Shoot... I even repaired that first hood for practice and gave it to a buddy. He put it on his 92 and painted it black. It looked good, up till the day he sold his car.
