Seriously i'd go to turboford like suggested and take a look at the steps of making a 2.3t run right then mods. That will give you an idea of what all is needed for a basic set up. There are alot of 2.3t people in the area so getting some info or help should be easy.

Agreed, turboford.org is the place to get all the basics down, and then to start an arguement about what works best beyond that.
I like reading the 'proven combos' section, because you see things that you just don't think will work. My neighbor ran an 8.0 @ 88 in the eighth with is SVO. He's got Mass Air with 42 lb injectors (done with a TwEECeR R/T), GN front end on his stock turbo, a 40 shot and some light porting on the factory manifolds. Everything else is stock, 180k miles on the head and shortblock, and that was on pump gas, too.
And check out Schlodes combo on there. He's in the mid 12's with a setup that has a lot of stock parts, too.

Yeah, my old Merkur went 12.6's and it was stock from the throttle body to the exhaust manifold. Ranger cam, stock valves, no head porting. E46 compressor, stock turbine side, Procharger intercooler, ported exhaust manifold, C4 trans, 3.55 gears and McCreary tires. Oh yeah, and a dry nitrous shot 
Depending on how fast you wanna go, theres a good chance that the best parts are already on the car..hehe. If 13s or 12s is all you are lookin for, you dont need a whole lot and chances are just throwing mods at it wont get you too far.

Well then maybe I should start asking him some questions! 
For example...how long will a mini spool last in that thing since it's so light? Is there even a full spool available for an 8"? I haven't seen one.
And did you use the stock radiator? Mines about to explode, but I have a different one that'll require some 'modifications' to fit.

I dont remember seeing a full spool option for the 8". Id imagine it would hold up just fine for the most part, its not like you are slamming it with 600hp.
I used a stock radiator. But then again the engine in the car was totally friggin stock.
It was my first turbo Ford, and was made in these places:
Apartment parking lot next to University Mall and also in Oak Ramble
Car wash on Bruce B Downs at Bearss
Discount Auto Parts on Bearss back lot.
It was a pile of crap mechanically. But hey, the thing ran 13s for like 500 bux including the car. It was pretty low dollar, down to the fact that it was running only 15psi of boost, Audi 5000 IC, small vane meter and a 2.5" exhaust. It was probably barely breaking 200hp... Even with that crap, it still ran an 8.10@85 out at Lakeland.
