Yeah, you definitely helped. You confirmed what I thought wasnt even an option. Just couldnt believe a battery would keep it from starting, but youre right. Its the only thing left.

Dead battery could make your alternator overheat also, not good for most run of the mill alternators.

I also own a 1990 bronco II and had the same problem....what I did was replace the positive/negative cables because they were corroded along with replacing the starter solenoid...nothing was wrong with the battery at all and fired up again...you can pick them up at autozone and spend about $20...it is not a bad job to do by yourself just need some patience....good luck man

I'd check the battery cables. Could be corroded inside.
