anyone have any pointers?
its easy, get an alignment when your done. just dont unbolt the front strut. put a jack under the control arm and lower it slowly or you will take a spring to the face. unbolt the rear shocks and let the axel hang.

Jack up the control arm until the spring is compressed fairly good and you can put a piece of thick chain (this is just for insurance to be sure you dont break your face or arm or neck) through the coils and slap a lock on it - This is how i removed my springs
However You are not re-installing your stock springs so This could be a bad Idea if you want your lock and chain back.
