I currently have some 96 gt wheels with 245/45/17 tires,my wheels are 17x8,the wheels im planning to get are 17x9,will my current tires still fit,pretty much everyone i've talked to says they will,any input would be great.

 

They will fit but 275-40 would fit best....

 

thanks for the quick response,I'd like to get the better fitting tires but im on a shoestring budget..too much shit to buy still and not enough money.

Ive seen a couple vw's with it and it looked like absolute shit,but i saw a few pics with 245/45 and its not entirely noticable,I think my solution is to keep my 245/45's and get some 255 or 275 drag radials for the rear.thanks for all the info.

 

275 would be better then the 255. hell, even a 315 will fit on a 9" rim.

 

I have 2001 cobra rims on my 03 gt. they are 17x8 and i run 285 45 on mine.

 

yea u will have no problem with them still fitting
