Default Anyone have a media blaster?

Im going to blast my 67 mustang - Trying to save some money here and do it myself using walnut shell media. Does anyone have a blaster I can borrow/rent that is suitable for this?

Jeff,

Back when I was into doing this stuff, I used this... http://www.eastwoodco.com/jump.jsp?i...emType=PRODUCT
(and it was slow working... but it did the job...)

Sad part is that 5 years ago, it was only $350!! I sold it after I finished my project....

...... edit....
Found this one...

Might be the one I had, as the price is about the same....
Also found that you can get the walnut from them too...

Thanks man - I might just bite to bullet though and pay to have it done. I have a quote for $800. If I buy a machine and all of the media, It would probably end up costing close to that.

Yea, it is really worth having someone else do it. I used the plastic media and would have to vacuum it up, sift out the debris, and then reuse. I would often clog the nozzle and have to stop and clear it. It was slow working and I know you will swear a lot less if you have it done.

PS, if they will prime it, let them. The flash rust will happen quickly and that causes even more work…

No, I dont have a place to do it at yet....and the people who do it do not then prime it for you - so I was just going to get setup to spray ahead of time and bring it directly to me from the blaster.

Ryan - I know you gave me a number for a guy who did soda blasting, but he also didnt have a place to do it. The guy who uses walnut shells picks up the car and redelivers it when done - thats sounding tempting, actually
