Is there a way to remove my Ford factory stereo w/out the special tool?

ive never had luck with a coathanger or nails. Go to Wal-Mart and buy the 3 dollar tool to do it.

+2 for the tool, I used the hangers before and till I just used the tool its a whole lot easier with the real tool.

Hammer and a prybar worked for me..But the stereo no longer works

I'll get the tool, thought it'd cost more than 3 bucks. I'm cheap, but not that cheap....for the record, no luck with the coat hanger.
