Hey i got offered a 97 probe gt for real cheap. black leather interior 5spd pwr windows and locks the whole 9 yards. On top of that its only got 57k on the clock and looks great. neways i drove this piece and i kinda like it for a kit car of some sort. just wondering if anyone had experiences with probe gt or some helpful info? Thanks!

Actually the GT is a 6cyl and the other models are 4cyl I have a 96 probe se and it's the biggest pos I've ever owned as someone else said it's a mazda in ford badging and I will never own another ford or mazda as long as both companies have something to do with each other. Sorry to say this in the ford forum

 

the turbo probes were 92 and before

 

huh....no shit...i though they were ok...ive never run one...

 

yeah there def no turbo but it is pretty peppy i'd guess mid 15s in the 1/4, neways are they not reliable? is that why they are a pos?

 

the 96 I have is on it's 2nd motor and it's only 130,000 on the chasis and the second motor and the second motor has a bad oil leak like it pours out of the motor when turned on and it's only got 7x,xxx miles on it. Both owners before me was an older man and a lady so it wasn't beat on it just sucks IMHO

 

15.7 stock on an average, i know a few people out here with em. not making that much power tho
